Feederbrook is a small family owned and operated farm located in northern Baltimore County, Maryland.
This is our third year of operation. We are slowly opening to the public for sales. On our 15 acres we raise a variety
of animals along with some hay. The animals include chickens, guineas, turkeys, peafowl, sheep, goats, llamas
and cattle. Our hay fields yield about 500-600 bails per season. All of the items offered are made and/or grown
right on the farm. We are far from factory style farm. Everything is done by hand and as naturally as possible.

The turkeys and chickens are pastured in electric mesh fencing. They are moved often so there
is a fresh supply of grass. At night the birds are locked in portable pens on wheels. The birds are
not given any hormones and antibiotics are used only when absolutely necessary. All of the other
birds (ducks, peacock and guineas) are let loose to roam the property. The chickens provide both
for meat (mostly for family consumption) and fresh brown eggs.

The sheep, goats, llamas and cows are all pastured together on about 8 aches. They are let to
roam free during the day but are all locked up at night. Fields are rotated and managed to
minimize parasite issues. The animals play an important part in the farm's products. The sheep a
re raised both for meat and for wool. The several breeds of sheep that are raised on the premises
these include; Border Leicester, Finnsheep, and Shetland. Currently we are trying to focus on wool
breeds and heritage breeds both for wool and market lambs. We also have a number of goats that
are kept both for their fiber and milk. The llamas are used for their fiber and as guard animals.
The cattle are kept for milk and meat.
