Soy Bean Fiber

Sold by the once this natural colored (Fawn ) 100% Soybean fiber made from the Soybean plant. Invented in the 1930's as an alternative to wool for upholstery . Has absorption properties similar to cotton. Soybean Fiber breaths better than cotton and has a silk-like sheen. Thia fiber is anti-ultraviolet and will retain colors well. The tinsel strength is stronger than wool, cotton and silk but not polyester. Will not take protein dyes as is it a cellulose fiber but is lovely to spin. Also would be great to blend with wool and other fibers. Has a similar feel to silk.Sold by the ounce
